Snowed In, Jun 12

It snowed rather heavily over night on June 11, and we woke up to a white land. We had over 1 ft of snow right across the section.

Susanna Turns 2, Jun 11

My little princess turned 2 on June 11. We had an evening birthday party our house, with special visitors Nan and Pa (Katrina's Mum and Dad).

Susanna opened presents as soon as she got up. When I carried her into the front room, five of her brothers were lined up ready, and burst into a hearty "Happy Birthday":

I made a banana cake for the birthday cake, and Katrina iced it with Maisy (a particular interest for Susanna at the moment):

Susanna on First Violin, May 1

Katrina put on some music yesterday afternoon, and turned around to see Susanna (almost 23 months!) playing on her "violin". She has four older brothers who are learning the violin -- David, Matthew, Philip and Daniel -- so she's seen them playing. I started the trick with this instrument, however, and she has been delighted to copy it.

The Castle is Coming Along, Feb 9

The castle on the hill in our front yard is coming along. There is still a roof to go on.

Christmas Knights, Dec 26

Four of our five boys received suits of armour for Christmas. David (the oldest, who is not shown here) has a suit, too, but won't get it for a couple of weeks.
